Our speciality

Lymphatic drainage massage

A gentle, rhythmic massage that moves lymph fluid around the body. Light pressure, deliberately so, because the vessels carrying lymph sit just beneath the skin.

Your lymphatic system clears waste and supports your immune health. When it slows you feel it as puffiness, heaviness and bloating. Drainage gets it moving, and most people see the difference in the same session.

This is a wellbeing and recovery treatment, not a weight loss method and not a cure for medical conditions. If you have a lymphatic or cardiovascular condition, message us before booking.

Who is it for?

It suits anyone looking to improve their wellbeing, and anyone recovering from surgery. Post operative treatment only goes ahead once your surgeon has cleared you, and we work to their timings.

Worth knowing

Signs your lymphatic system is backed up

Your body has a built in drainage system, and when it is not flowing well you tend to feel it in ways you would not expect.

Nasal congestion

Blocked lymphatic flow can have a negative impact on your sinuses.

Constant fatigue

Tiredness or lack of energy can be down to the body struggling to clear accumulated waste.

Water retention

Fluid build up from slow drainage often causes swelling in the face, hands or legs.

Skin problems

Breakouts, acne and a dull complexion can come from toxicity build up.

Cellulite

Dimpled skin can be caused by toxins and waste trapped beneath the surface.

Bloating

A backed up system can impair digestion, leading to bloating and irregular bowel movements.

Cold hands and feet

If lymphatic flow is compromised, circulation slows down and extremities feel cold or numb.

Poor immunity

A compromised lymphatic system can weaken your immune response.

After surgery

What your recovery plan looks like

How post operative drainage usually runs. Your surgeon's guidance always comes first and we build around it.

Before surgery

Get the plan in place

Message us with your procedure and date. We map out session timings so you are not scrambling for an appointment while swollen and sore.

Days 1 to 7

Gentle start

Once your surgeon clears you, drainage begins very light. The focus is comfort, moving early fluid and settling the tightness.

Weeks 2 to 3

The working phase

Regular sessions while your body is doing the most healing. This is where swelling drops noticeably and where consistency matters most.

Weeks 4 to 6

Spacing out

Sessions move further apart. Attention shifts to any areas still holding fluid and, where appropriate, scar tissue management.

Beyond

Maintenance

Most people keep a session in the diary every few weeks while results settle, then drop back to whatever suits them.

Timings vary by procedure and person. Nothing here replaces your surgeon's instructions.

Cupping therapy

Dry and wet cupping (hijama)

Cupping increases circulation where the cups are placed, relieving muscle tension and promoting repair. Most clients walk out moving more freely than when they walked in.

Every wet cupping session uses single use, sterile equipment. No need for pain relief beforehand.

Inside a session

Dry cupping

Suction only, no incisions. The cups lift the tissue, draw blood and lymph to the surface and release tight muscle. The circular marks are normal and fade within days.

  • Best for muscle tension, knots and restricted movement
  • Often combined with deep tissue or sports massage
  • Zero downtime, you can carry on with your day

Wet cupping (hijama)

Tiny superficial incisions are made before the cups go on, drawing a small amount of stagnant blood from the surface tissue. Most clients describe it as painless, with instant relief.

  • Popular for long standing back, neck and shoulder pain
  • Also used for migraines, fatigue and general reset
  • Single use sterile equipment, every session

What your cupping marks mean

The first thing everyone asks afterwards. The colour tells you something about the area treated, and every mark fades.

Pale pink

Very little congestion in that area and good circulation already. Common in people who come regularly.

Fades in 1 to 3 days
Light red

Mild congestion. The most common result on a first session across the back and shoulders.

Fades in 3 to 5 days
Deep red

Moderate stagnation. Usually appears over areas of long held tension, most often the traps and lower back.

Fades in 5 to 10 days
Dark purple

Significant congestion. Nearly always turns up exactly where the pain has been worst, and where clients feel the biggest change.

Fades in 1 to 2 weeks

Marks are not bruises and should not be painful. This is the traditional reading of the colours, not a medical diagnosis.

Also on the menu

Massage treatments

Standalone or added onto cupping. Tell us what your body is doing and we will pick the right combination on the day.

Sports massage

Firm, targeted work for training loads, recovery between sessions and the niggles that come with pushing hard. Ideal alongside dry cupping over the same area.

Deep tissue massage

Slower and deeper, working through the layers to release long held tension in the back, neck and shoulders. The one clients book when knots keep coming back.

Hot stone massage

Heated basalt stones placed along the body to open everything up before the hands do the work. Deeply relaxing, and brilliant in winter when everything seizes up.

04

Before your cupping session

Getting ready
  • Have a bath or shower an hour or more before your session
  • Get any strenuous chores or heavy work done beforehand
  • Come on an empty stomach. Avoid heavy food from the night before, or fast for at least 2 to 3 hours. Fluids are perfectly fine
What to wear and bring
  • Wear a vest, baggy shorts or three quarter shorts
  • You may be asked to remove a top layer depending on the areas being treated
  • Bring details of all regular medication so we can make sure it is safe
Medical points to know
  • Cupping has an analgesic effect, so there is no need to take pain killers beforehand
  • If you have any serious medical concerns, please see your GP before your session
  • If you have diabetes, keep your sugar levels controlled before any cupping session
  • If you take blood thinners, message us before booking wet cupping

After your cupping session

The first 24 hours
  • Drink honey mixed in water after your session, and plenty of fluids
  • Avoid having a shower or bath for 24 hours
  • Rest, but stay relatively active
Looking after the area
  • Apply black seed oil or an antibacterial cream to the cupped areas to help itchiness, aid healing and reduce the risk of infection
  • Repeat 2 to 3 times a day until the cupped areas have healed
What to avoid for a few days
  • Dairy and red meat for 2 days, as these slow blood flow to the cupped areas
  • Swimming, sauna, steam room and the gym
  • Strenuous activity

Common questions

Everything people ask before they book

Does lymphatic drainage massage hurt?

No. The pressure is deliberately very light, much gentler than a normal massage, because the vessels sit just under the skin. Plenty of clients fall asleep.

How many lymphatic drainage sessions will I need?

Bloating and puffiness often respond to a single session with a top up every few weeks. Recovery after surgery needs a short course. We agree a plan at your first appointment.

Can I have lymphatic drainage after surgery?

Yes, and it is commonly recommended after liposuction, a tummy tuck or a BBL. You must be cleared by your surgeon first. Send us your procedure and surgery date and we will plan around it.

Is wet cupping (hijama) painful?

Most clients describe it as painless. The incisions are tiny, and many say it is less uncomfortable than a tattoo. No need for pain relief beforehand.

How long do cupping marks last?

Normal, and they fade within three days to two weeks depending on how much congestion was in the area. They are not bruises and should not be painful.

How often should I have wet cupping?

Every three to four months suits most people. Working through a specific issue, sessions start closer together then space out.

Are men welcome?

Absolutely. Roughly half our clients are men, mostly with work related back and shoulder pain. Everyone is treated privately, one to one.

Where in Liverpool are you based?

Huyton, Liverpool L36, close to Roby, Prescot and Knowsley. The exact address is confirmed when you book, and home visits are sometimes possible.

How do I book and how much is it?

Use the form below, call or WhatsApp 07522 773722, or email us. Prices depend on the treatment and how long we allow, so we would rather quote you properly than guess.

Do you train other therapists?

Yes. A CPD accredited course in Liverpool at £500, including the certificate, manual, full starter kit and ongoing mentoring. Dates run all year, classes kept small.
